Evaluating OnLine Documents

The WWWeb is the biggest library in the world, and tens of thousands of documents are added to it - every day. You need to evaluate any information you download, making sure it is relevant to your needs. The following articles are designed to help you in that task.

I've not yet had time to visit all these sites to check the status of what's on offer. However, almost all the locations are university libraries, where they specialise in this form of assessment. Please forward any comments you might have on these sources.

You can print out this page for reference, or if you are connected to the Internet, just click the URL to go straight to the site named.

Documents are sometimes moved into new locations on the Web. If you receive a 'Document not found' message, try progressively removing the last section of the URL [/this-bit] in your browser. Re-submit your search each time.
