In-depth, in detail review, thank you so much. Didn’t need a “look inside” after reading review. Pictured it beautifully. Have been humming and hawing about buying this book for weeks and months, now I feel I know the book well enough to do so. So sorry to hear you had to say goodbye to your life’s collection. Maybe, now that you’ve got space to think clearly you can start a new collection? This coming from an ex library assistant and full-time writer. Anything about protection from bushfire in this book?!

My great mistake was to sell off a collection of literary classics (and lots of dross) which had taken half a lifetime to acquire.
Some book collections can push you out of house and home. It was a turnkey moment in terms of both habitat and relationship – but in retrospect, I wish I had kept all those old favourites.
